The third title in the Roman Conquests series (following Italy and Spain) written by Philip Matyszak. The volume tells how the Romans conquered the homeland of Alexander the Great and the once-proud city-states of Athens and Sparta. Describes how the Roman legions overcame the Macedonian phalanx in the Balkan terrain. It also includes accounts of the battle of Cynoscephalae (197 BC) and Pydna (168 BC) and the destruction of Corinth.
